Der Kinderchor

Der Kinderchor des Pittsburgh Bezirk

Pittsburgh District Kinderchor

The Pittsburgh District Kinderchor is a a children’s singing group that performs traditional German songs at the Teutonia Männerchor and other venues.  The Kinderchor is open to all children ages 5 through 17 who enjoy music and singing.  Rehearsals are held weekly at Teutonia Männerchor on Saturdays from 10:30 to 11:30.

The children sing a variety of traditional and contemporary German music, including cultural songs such as Stille Nacht and O Tannenbaum, and modern compositions by Peter Schindler. The children sing in German and are instructed by a native speaker to learn proper pronunciation and phrasing.
