Biking Event Planned
A Teutonia Männerchor biking event has been planned for Saturday August 11th, 2012 (tentatively).
Participants will bike from Teutonia Männerchor, through the city bike trails, to the Hofbräuhaus and back again. The exact event details and biking path haven’t been made certain. Potentially, it will include a beer stop at the Hofbräuhaus, a dinner at the club and potentially an event t-shirt. Guest are permitted, but they must be accompanied by a Club Member.
Mid-Summer, look for more information on the event.

urhhhhh – just looked at the calendar… this conflicts with the Millvale Brewfest… any chance it could be Aug 4, 2012?
It’s tentatively scheduled as of now. August 11th is one of the free days the club is able to have the event.
Hey, this sounds great! I do a lot of cycling around Pittsburgh and would definitely attend. I have some friends who would enjoy this but are not members, I assume they could participate as my guests?
Keith, indeed, guests are more than welcome. They have to be accompanied by a member, of course, but more than welcome.
A bike event is a great idea! Are kids welcome, too?
What time will this be held? I’d like to come but have another commitment in the morning that won’t wrap up until 1:30 or 2 PM.
Kids are welcome. We haven’t a time set for the event as of yet, but more than likely it will start in the late morning and extend throughout the late afternoon.
Looks like fun! I need to check my calendar – I may be in Germany during that time.

What about bike rentals?
George, all participants will need to supply their own bicycle. The club isn’t responsible for providing bicycles, but I am sure you’d be able to rent one from someone along the biking trails.

I’m really looking forward to this type of Summer event! We did one in Erie this April called “Gears to Beers” that finished at a micro brewery.
Great concept! If attended well, this might become an annual event.
I want to do this, think the six year old grand son will make it?
